NARC-Kenya chairperson and Gichungu MP Martha Karua is calling on women to democratically fight for elective posts in the country and not wait to be granted on a silver Plata.
Karua lauded the constitution for giving women a fair chance in terms of leadership and called on them to take advantage of it.
Karua intimated that women for a long term have been sidelined in leadership positions in the country and it was now time they stood up and be counted taking advantage of the new constitution.
She has further affirmed that she is “seriously” in the presidential race and in turn vowed to campaign on an issue based platform rather than bribe Kenyans for votes.
