Local Investors have been advised to support local innovations and innovators instead and stop leaving the initiative to foreign investors.
Kenya ICT Board Chief Executive Officer Paul Kukubo says majority of innovators in the country are youth, mostly from institutions of higher learning, who need to be supported in opening up their minds and selling their ideas to the Public.
Speaking to Ghetto Radio News at the Pivot East Developers Pitching Competition Conference in Nairobi, Kukubo noted that foreign investors were organizing conferences locally to tap into best local inventions and ideas while local investors watched at a distance.
Kukubo at the same time lauded local young innovators and encouraged them to come up with more applicable ideas to make money and also take advantage of the internet as a tool for research.
