Kenyan and Celtic Midfielder Victor Mugabe Wanyama is on the spotlight once again, the player whose recent impressive form has attracted a host of EPL clubs, is said to be under the watch of English Champions Manchester City.
According to Mail Online, Reigning EPL Champions have been monitoring Mugabe as they seek to beef up their midfield ahead of next season as midfielders; Gareth Bale is struggling with an Injury while Nigel Di jong is seeking to leave the club.
The publication further reports that Mugabe could be a good replacement for Ivorian Yaya Toure.
His elder brother Mac Donald Mariga was also targeted by City but lacked a UK work Permit but was quickly signed by Inter Milan.
Mugabe joined his teammates in Netherlands last week for a pre-season camp. He is expected to be part of the squad that lines-up against Inter Milan in a friendly next week before helping the club pass through the UEFA Champions League qualifying stages later this month.
Meanwhile, City expect AC Milan and Juventus to firm up interest in Carlos Tevez and Edin Dzeko this week, something which will impact on Van Persie.
However, manager Roberto Mancini said: ‘Both Dzeko and Tevez will stay at City. Mancini added that they are a great team and they will try to keep all their players.
